Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the teenager age. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her debut as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd became more confident after her win, and she won three fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all in the 1st round. Then, she went to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian, and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous vote, leaving an ominous mark on her record in her amateur. Ladd won her next bout against Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen utilized the skills she had learned in wrestling to take on McGill. She won her bout via TKO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd failed to make weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and then pounded her on the ground in the second round to secure a TKO victory. In her next fight, she beat Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd was victorious in the first round and was awarded the Performance of the Night Bonus. Her first fight of note came in her next fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd's win was a majority decision, as well as her Fight of the Night award came to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her losing streak. In the third round of UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her place She fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight was a unanimous decision.
