
Colson Baker (born April 22 the 22nd of April, 1990) is an American musician and rapper. The rapper is popularly known as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) is a songwriter, actor and performer. His dual genre of alternative rock and hip-hop is what earned him fame. He released four mixtapes from 2007 through the year 2010, after which he signed to Bad Boy Records. In 2012 the singer released Lace Up the first studio album. It peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200. It included his most popular single "Wild Boy", which was performed by Waka Flame. General Admission (2015) and Bloom (2016) were both commercially successful. The latter album contained the single "Bad Things" featuring Camila Cabello. It peaked at number 4 on Billboard's Hot 100. The fourth album, Hotel Diablo (2018) included rap rock. Machine Gun Kelly's fifth album, Tickets to My Downfall was released in 2020. The album was the beginning of a new era in hip hop and a transition into pop punk. It was a top-ranked album on Billboard 200 and was the only rock album that reached that position. The track "My Ex's Best Friend" also made it to number 20 on the Hot 100. The album's follow-up Mainstream Sellout (1922) was an enormous commercial success.
